Andalusia

Andalusia is characterized by dry mountainous region, desert and the coastal belt of Costa del Sol. It is home to the fabulous historic cities of Granada and Seville. Its coast is a popular destination for summer vacations. During winter, skiing enthusiasts head to the ski resorts of Sierra Nevada. Andalusia has a strong Moorish influence. Its Islamic heritage is manifested in its numerous beautiful monuments and buildings, especially in the historic city of Cordoba. Granada is home to magnificent Gothic structures. The coastal town of Marbella has some of the finest beach resorts of Spain. Seville, a popular cultural hub of the region, is one of the best places for watching flamenco performances.

Catalonia

In northeast of Spain, Catalonia is bordered by Pyrenees Mountains in the north and the Mediterranean Sea in the east. Barcelona, the capital city of Catalonia, is one of the most attractive cities of Spain. Its rugged coastline comprising of Costa Brava and Costa Daurada has a number of scenic beaches.

Basque Country

To the north, Basque country is a picturesque region in Spain. The landscape comprises of mountains covered with lush vegetations, rugged coasts and green river valleys. While the coastal and mountainous regions adjacent France and Bay of Biscay boast of Atlantic climatic conditions, to experience the Mediterranean-like environment, head to the south to the Ebro Valley. Basque Country is also one of the most popular gastronomic destinations in Spain.

Balearic Islands

Balearic Islands are the famous destinations for Mediterranean island holidays. This Spanish archipelago is home to the most developed beaches of Mallorca, Minorca and Ibiza. The clear turquoise water and the clean white sandy beaches are ideal for enjoying the Mediterranean sunshine.

Region of Valencia

Renowned for its large coastline and beautiful mountainous regions, the Region of Valencia is one of the most visited regions of Spain. Valencia, the capital city of the region, is home to a number of stunning monuments and museums. Its coastline comprising of Costa Blanca contains some of the finest beach resorts of Spain.
